Avocado Smoothies…a truly, healthy delight.

Avocado Smoothies: Avocados are by far one of my favorite fruits to eat. They’re loaded with tons of good-for-you fats, antioxidants, and their buttery-rich texture tastes good with almost anything–especially as the star ingredient in one of my many favorite smoothie recipes.

That said, below are three of my favorite avocado energy and immunity boosting smoothies from Pinterest —the image bookmarking social network— that you can add to your box of recipes.

You can enjoy them for breakfast, a pick-me-up after or before a workout, or even as a healthy late night snack.

They are truly versatile.

Extra Tip: Avocados can get expensive, especially if they’re not in season.

But to save costs you can always stock up on avocados when they’re cheap (in season) and then freeze them to expand their longevity.

Their texture may change some, but will taste just the same once blended in the blender.

Avocado & Peach

The avocado makes this smoothie exceptionally creamy while the peach gives it light-refreshing taste. I typically eat this particular smoothie for breakfast.

  • ½ of an avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1 small peach, pitted
  • ½ cup of milk (or almond milk if you prefer)
  • 1 Teaspoon of Raw Honey to sweeten (optional)
  • 4 Basil Leaves

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Add ice cubes to thicken.

Avocado and Mango

For a more tropical twist, try this recipe on for size. The original recipe calls for regular yogurt, but I like my smoothies a littler thicker and use Greek yogurt instead.

  • 1 whole avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1 whole mango, peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • ¼ cup of non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup of milk

Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Add more milk if consistency is thicker than desired—this one comes out more like a milkshake.

Avocado and Banana Citrus

Last but not least is this recipe, which you’ll surely go “bananas” over. It’s a little more advanced than the others since it requires a few more ingredients, but it’s definitely well worth it.

  • 1 whole avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon grated ginger
  • ¼ cup of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar to taste

Blend avocado, bananas, yogurt, orange juice and sugar into blender until creamy. Add ginger and blend until well combined. Finally add lime juice.

Of course, this is just a starter kit. There are tons of different ways you can create an avocado smoothie that is perfect for you—it just may take some creavity. And remember: don’t be intimated by its vibrant green color. This just should remind you that it’s healthy.

Hi, I am Alice and I love smoothies and juice. Juicing & smoothies are exciting, but sometimes it can be very frustrating if you use the wrong equipment. I set up to analyze different kinds of juicers and smoothies, so we can make an educated choice.
